Bowl for Kids Sake (BFKS) 2012 was a STRIKE! With the help and support of its Event Partners, Participants and Volunteers, $85,000 was raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington. On behalf of BBBSHB and the kids we support in the greater Hamilton and Burlington communities – “Thank you very much to all those who helped contribute to the event’s success.”

Held at Splitsville in Hamilton and Burlington Bowl in Burlington, participants brought a diverse assortment of costumes. Bowling teams consisted of Care Bears, super heroes, and Disney, Wizard of Oz and Cat in the Hat characters. We look forward to seeing what next year’s BFKS crowd will bring!

With an outstanding contribution of $8,000, “The Pinheads,” led by Patrick Mills, were the event’s top fundraising team. A special mention goes to the teachers and staff of Halton Region Schools, who raised $7,000. Other top fundraising teams included: "JAN Kelley Bowlers 1," "KPMG 1," "Boomer's Bratty Kids," "Hammer City Roller Girls," “Bowling for Hammers,” "BNI Integrity Connections," and “Tim Horton's Aron Burch Team.”
