Promise Scholarships 2012

We Believe in Promising Futures!

Promise 2012 website storyAbdullah poses proudly with his family after receiving his Promise Scholarship on September 17, 2012.

Our Agency believes in the promising future of the children we service, and every year, we acknowledge this by honouring Promise Scholarship recipients during an evening of celebration.

On September 17th we presented the 2012 Promise Scholarships to 10 grade seven recipients.

Promise recipients each received $2,000, which will be held in trust for them until graduation from high school. Upon entry to post-secondary education, these recipients will receive an installment in each of their first two years.

In addition to celebrating our Promise Scholarship, we recognized two additional recipients of the Project Hope Scholarship, which encourages youth interested in trades, technology or apprenticeships to continue their hard work. The Project Hope scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship which is put in to trust for our recipients until they are accepted into a post-secondary program.
