May 17, 2013 – In partnership with The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Supreme Basics presented Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Hamilton and Burlington with a cheque for $6,000 this morning supporting the Catches for Kids Program.

The Catches for Kids partnership began in 2011 as an initiative for Supreme Basics to give back to the community.

For every successful catch and touchdown by the receiving core makes, Supreme Basics makes a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters. BBBS of Hamilton and Burlington is only one of the beneficiaries of this program, as Supreme Basics runs this imitative in several cities across Canada.

The Catches for Kids program consists of the following components:

  • For every successful catch the receiving core makes during the regular season, Supreme Basics will donate $10 to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • For every touchdown made by the receiving core during the regular season, Supreme Basics will donate $100 to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In the 2012 season, the receiving core made over 300 successful catches and scored 36 touchdowns. This outstanding season translated into a donation of $6,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington.

BBBS and the Ti-Cats have had a long standing relationship. In fact, we’ve been working together through multiple initiatives for over 30 years. BBBS of Hamilton and Burlington are grateful for the continued support of the Ti-Cats and wish them the utmost success in the 2013 season!

Thank you to Supreme Basics and the Tiger Cats for including BBBS of Hamilton and Burlington in this wonderful opportunity.
