Big Brothers Mentoring

The Big Brothers Mentoring program matches a male mentor with a male mentee. The program provides boys and young men with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. More info ...

Program type: Community-based, one-on-one mentoring

Mentee details: Males, 6 to 16-years-of-age

Commitment: 1 year commitment, 3-4 hours per week, day/activity of your choice

Program type: School-based, group-based mentoring

Mentee details: Males and Females, Primary and Junior elementary–aged-youth

Time Commitment: One hour each week, on school property, during or after school. Members do not meet over the summer break or during other school holidays. Pre-structured curriculum.


 

Game On! Group Mentoring

Game On! is a group mentoring program for providing boys and young men with information and support to make informed choices about a range of healthy lifestyle practices. More info ... 

Program type: School-based, group-based mentoring

Mentee details: Males, 12-14 years-of-age, group-based mentoring

Time Commitment: Seventy-five-minute mentoring sessions held over a 7-week period. Game On! is hosted on school property, during school hours. Pre-structured curriculum.


 

Go Girls! Group Mentoring

Go Girls! is a group mentoring program for girls ages 12-14 that focuses on physical activity, balanced eating and self-esteem. More info ...

Program type: School-based, group-based mentoring 

Mentee details: Females, 12-14 years-of-age

Time Commitment: Seventy-five-minute mentoring sessions held over a 7-week period. Go Girls! is hosted on school property, during school hours. Pre-structured curriculum.


In-School Mentoring

The In-School Mentoring program provides girls and boys with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with, within school grounds. More info ... 

Program type: School-based, one-on-one mentoring

Mentee details: Males and Females, Primary and Junior elementary–aged-youth

Time Commitment: One hour each week, on school property, during school hours. Mentor and mentee do not meet over the summer break or during other school holidays. Activity of your choice within school grounds.


Physical Literacy

Physical literacy is not just about sports, it is about giving children and youth the opportunity to succeed in living a happy healthy life. The program provides boys and girls with mentoring and fun, using a physical literacy approach. More info ... 

Program type: School-based, group-based mentoring

Mentee details: Males and Females, 7-14 years-of-age

Time Commitment: One hour each week, on school property, after school. Members do not meet over the summer break or during other school holidays. Pre-structured curriculum.


 

SOAR (Social Opportunities Activities & Relationships)

SOAR is a group-based program that was created specifically for children who are waiting to be matched with a mentor. SOAR members participate in social, educational and recreational activities in a positive, group mentoring atmosphere. More info ... 

Program type: Community-based, group-based mentoring

Mentee details: Males, 6-16 years-of-age

Time Commitment: Tw hours each week, 12-week sessions. Mentors accompany mentees on a 2:1 ratio to a pre-determined group activity in the community.
